Practical VHF/UHF antennas
The advantage that microwave antennas have over those used for other amateur bands is that they are relatively small. We can let our imaginations loose and have antennas with gains that are not achievable at lower frequencies and mount them at heights, in wave- lengths, that users of the lower frequency bands can only dream of.
