Building blocks 1: Oscillators
Oscillators are fundamental to radio and are used in almost all types of radio equipment. The purpose of an oscillator is to generate a signal output at a specific frequency. For most applications, an oscillator would ideally generate a pure sine wave. If a spectrum of voltage against frequency were to be plotted, it would consist of a single line at the required frequency.
